Parked in Paradise

So ive had an eventful last 2 weeks, had a slight mishap in the snow (that I don't want to talk about) but basically I had to make up for that mistake and it wasn't a highlight of my senior year. In addition to the bummers in life, positives can accompany them. My classmates all got their duty assignments, 4 of my friends even ended up at the same unit (BROBOAT) but yeah I was allowed to join the ceremony with my class even though I'm not graduating with them. It was pretty legit to see everyone get pretty much one of their top 10 choices. Congrats to USCGA class of 2011...as for me 2011.5 I'll be seeing them out there soon....c/o 2011.5 motto "we party harder"...anyway just figured I'd share what's up. Currently living my alternate life (non-CG) in Puerto Rico on Spring Break. Well that's all I got for now...till then BOTTOMS UP!

Salted and Melting

The snow has been here for a month and a week or so, therefore I've had to bum rides or walk to New London's illustrious nightlife spots. Finally however a ray of hope has broken the norms. This week is predicted to be sunny for 5 of the 7 days....could it be a sign? I sure am hoping so, I'm starting to lose my mind in these DARK AGES without my ride. Big plans and an big debut await us in the time to come...im just hoping the NE weather starts to show me some love...God knows i been getting edgy and irritable. For me driving is a major stress relief (ironic) and having said that I been having withdrawals. The cold just inst my cup of tea either so 1 + 1 = a frozen nightmare. Any way imma stop complaining since nobody wants a negative nancy nowing on thier fun...clever eh?

Other News brings trust within close quarters combat, when having fun on weekends, such as going to live concerts at bars,  one should always be surrounded by those in the full trust. Call 'em wing-men or teammates...whatever you will just heed my advice. Without them shieet can go south and who better to help damage control than somebody who understands the way your life operates...oh and communication is the key, those who you think you can trust may not be who they seem so always tell it like it is and your wing-men can be your best friends. SHOUT OUT TO BROLAW AND THE BBC.

First Post

So this is my first official post on a blog with no real theme or direction. I haven't done anything like this before so we'll see how it goes... I guess I can start by explaining my first fun weekend/adventures of the year. I went to NYC with a couple of buddies and it was pretty cool. Saw Times Square all lit up at night....truely B/A.  Next weekend I have to take this boat driving exam...no fun, the way they word things on it is garbo because they try and confuse you...its w/e though. Now its time to start another 4 day week though so I think im just gonna leave it at that. Yeah, dunno when my next post will be but in the mean time keep cruisin'....slow traffic to the right please.
